Here at Timberline, we are Certified Wood Floor Refinishers and Installers.

Hardwood flooring has been the prime flooring material for hundreds of years.  It is a time honored craft best completed by skilled professionals who spend years learning to perfect their trade. It is a physically demanding job while at the same time requiring a delicate touch. Karl von Hacht is a “hands on owner” who started refinishing wood floors in 1986; learning his trade from a wood floor craftsman of forty-five years.

In 1998 Karl opened his own Wood Floor Refinishing business, and over the years has developing a distinguished reputation for excellent workmanship and service. He expects professional behavior from his staff, and believes that ones workmanship is reflected in ones organizational skills, attitude and personal appearance. It is Karl's work ethic, experience and commitments that have made Timberline Hardwood Floors a locally trusted name. Karl’s mission is simply: your satisfaction.

Along with refinishing, Karl is an experienced installer of sand-in-place wood flooring from wood strip flooring to plank as wide as 15 inches, and distressed flooring all done on site and by hand, to installing specialty design elements utilizing several different species. A considerable amount of his work can be found throughout Contra Costa and Alameda Counties; he has also completed projects in Marin, Santa Clara, and San Francisco Counties as well.

To accompany his many years of experience Karl has also earned the following recognition:

• 2002 awarded achievement certificates from both the National Wood Flooring Association, and Historic Floors of OshKosh.
• 2008 awarded Basic Coatings certificate of excellence.
• 2009 Karl was recognized as a Certified Professional by the National Wood Flooring Association. As such Karl conducts his business in a professional manor and adheres to NWFA standards for Refinishing and Installing wood floors.
