Dust Free Sanding

Dust Free Sanding and Finishing

No Dust Containment“Dust Free Sanding” and finishing is nothing more then the use of high powered vacuums to remove all sanding debris. For the system to work properly it needs to connect to all sanding equipment. Not just some of the equipment. This not only helps in the overall cleanliness of the process but also greatly reduces hypoallergenic airborne dust, which can infiltrate the HVAC system and reduce its effectiveness.

Sanding w/ Dust ContainmentKarl and Timberline Hardwood Floor Co uses the Bona Atomic Dustless/Vacuum system.  The only system with the GREENGUARD Air Quality Certification which gives assurances that product designed for use indoors meet strict chemical emissions limits, and contribute to the creation of healthier interiors.

Wood floors older then 1978 will have lead present in the finish coats, as well as wood floors that have been painted over. Contractors that disturb lead-based paint in homes built before 1978 should follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. Part of lead safety when renovating hardwood floors requires power tools that have High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA)
filter-equipped vacuums; to contain the dust.

Let Timberline Floors increased your satisfaction by eliminating dust throughout the home.

  • Higher quality results by eliminating air borne dust that would otherwise settle back down into the finish.
  • Healthier working conditions and indoor air quality; wood dust is a known carcinogen.
  • No costly clean-up afterwards.
